beer through the people's lens.

Jockamo IPA from Abita. This beer has a 6.5% ABV and 52 IBU’s. I’ve been kinda hit and miss with beers from Abita so I was a little skeptical to try this one. The nose on this brings forth a nice citrusy hop aroma along with a malted sweetness. The taste is actually pretty nice as well with the malted sweetness coming up front with the citrusy hops coming in about medium mouthfeel with a slight hop bitterness. It’s quite smooth and drinkable. I’m actually impressed with this one as I didn’t really know what to expect. My overall opinion is that I’d give this a good solid rating of B. It doesn’t compare to the bigger, more intensely hopped west coast IPA’s but it’s still fairly decent for what it is. by beerandmetal83 http://instagram.com/p/fMLo9Nxatm/
